…and here’s the official flyer, too. Due to the fact that this is not only New Year’s Eve but also c-base’s official “after hour” to this year’s Chaos Communication Congress, it should be rather well visited.

I am proud to -yet still un-oficially- announce that I’ll perform as VJ and live-act on sylvester evening 2009 at the world’s first and most famous hackerspace, the c-base in Berlin, Germany. Celebrating the dawning of 2010 in the very heart of Berlin, two blocks away from the site of the ancient Reichsbank’s tresory, where it all started in 1998 seems to be quite a cool thing already.

But the c-base is also the origin of the actual hackerspace movement which was this year’s most discussed and vital trends in electronic/hacking culture worldwide and is still growing rapidly - so sylvester’s eve at “The Base” will definitely be one of the hottest places to be. Which does not mean that there will be any sort of “jet-set-shit” (K. Richards about M. Jagger), dresscode or quiche-eaters, as the base is the most unaffected and casual place you could imagine.

In Progress: VJ/DJ-Coproduction with Speedsound

My Alter Ego as a VJ is probably less known here on Jamendo, as there -unfortunately- are no visuals available here. Nevertheless I had, some time ago, produced some visuals on tracks, released by Psydom/Speedsound, as their style and licensing met exactly my needs for a demo-reel. I am therefore glad to announce that I started today with the production of an “official” video for Speedsound’s upcoming VJDJ-Project. I am not going to rat out any details before release time, but I think I may communicate that I have just listened into the track that I am going to visualize and that it’s going to be a rather hard, dark but groovy thing perfectly fitting the dark, unfriendly but -in it’s very own way- inspiring Berlin autumn. According to the visual thing that’s beginning to show up in my sick head (oooh, the brain! the tasty braiiiin..) this is going to be a lot of -quite morbid- fun and some well-forgotten nightmarish characters (”Ich sage nur: Mabuse!”) are going to find themselves in outer space… *ggg* I really gotta work on - stay tuned…

I decided to change the cover in the last minute. To be honest, I don’t know which one is exactly better - but at least you know where to download an alternative one… Finally, I could defeat the dreaded Jamloader once again and managed to upload the full release. At least I hope so - actually it is still hanging in the moderation queue and if I remember correctly the “Leviathan” album did so for two weeks before I deleted and relaunched it.

The next release is almost finished. This late summer will bring at least a rather chubby EP, or maybe a longplayer full of straight on psychedelic trance tracks. No zeitgeisty fucking around with minimal techno, no “dark psy” kindergarten scares, I promise. You’ll find the latest track - in a typical, still way too long “producer’s cut” here.
